Whether you’re a researcher looking for help in tackling a research question or an expert on local records hoping to offer research services, we’d love to have you join the Genlighten community. Anyone interested in family history research is welcome to register for the site.
Registering is quick and easy. Just click on the red “Register” link at the top of the page, enter a user name (this is how site users will come to know you so choose carefully), create a password, and provide an email address.
Once you’ve registered for the site, you’ll be taken to your “Your Genlighten Dashboard” each time you log in and from there you can search for providers, message other site users, track the progress of research requests, and more.
If you want to offer research services through Genlighten, you’ll need to add provider tools to your user account. Doing that gives you access to a “Provider Dashboard” and lets you create both a provider profile page and a Genlighten store. Just click on the “Provide Research Services” button at the top of the page to get started.
