Allegheny City’s hand written birth register should contain the full name of the child, father’s name, occupation and nationality, mother’s name and nationality but rarely her maiden name, date of birth, and place born. These records relied on the doctor or person attending the birth to deliver them to be recorded.
Allegheny City was later named North Side, and is now North Shore
