The “Chicago Tribune” will be searched for obituaries (or death notice) appearing between 1849 and 1986. The newspaper will be searched for one week following the date of death you provide. Possible information you may learn from an obituary are any siblings names (surviving or deceased), parents names, a woman’s maiden name, and place of burial. To just name a few. Keep in mind though obituaries from the early 1900’s offer less information then the ones of today. I will also include all documentation information in case you ever need to locate the obituary again.
