Description
The Lansing Michigan Family History Center has an extensive collection of land deed indexes for most counties in the state of Michigan (not all counties allowed filming of their records). The dates available vary by county. These are the same microfilms that are available for rental through the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, but this Family History Center has the all the microfilms on permanent loan, so multiple years and counties can be searched at one time. After verifying that the Lansing FHC has the land deed index for the county and year of interest (no charge for verification), I will search the index(es) for the person of interest for up to 30 minutes and will make digital copies of all entries for the person of interest in the index.
