Katie Derby has B.A. in Family History/Genealogy from Brigham Young University, and completed her internship at the Library of Congress in the Local History/Genealogy department. She has spoken at numerous regional and national conferences, taught research classes, and has unique experience researching historic homes. Katie also reads and speaks Spanish and can conduct research using Spanish language records. As founder and President of GenQuery,Katie assures the quality and professionalism of all work that our researchers provide. Our location in Northern Virginia allows us ready access to the materials at the national repositories in Washington DC, as well as local courthouses and the Library of Virginia.
