I will treat your ancestors as if they were my own.
I am an avid genealogist and have been doing Chicago genealogy for many years. I enjoy doing all types of research especially divorce cases, probate cases, criminal cases and warranty deed searches but willing to tackle any type of research needed. One of my favorite things is to discover something completely new and unexpected! I recently discovered an original photo in a probate file for a client of one of his ancestors. What a surprise that was! Genealogy is my passion and I love to help others discover the unknown.

Kim, I thank you very much for the naturalization files on Friedrich Bohn. As you said, they did not provide much additional information, but they are nice to have as backup and source material. Sorry I did not write sooner to thank you, but I lost my internet access soon after I downloaded your files. I had to buy a new DSL modem to get back in business. I would like your thoughts on the feasibility of two further searches. The first relates to the possibility of finding the Warrantee deed, dated 19 Nov 1868, transferring property from Josiah L. and Susan T. Lombard to Christian Ladwig, as mentioned on Page 18 of the probate file you found for me last June. There it is also noted that the name on the deed may have been listed as Christian Leudewig. The second relates to finding the will or probate file for Friedrich Ladwig, who was the executor for Christian Ladwig's estate. All I know is that he died 17 Jan 1931 and was buried 21 Jan 1931 in Concordia Cemetery in Forest Park. In the Apr 1930 Census he was listed as living at 671 Sunnyside Ave in Elmhurst. Both the Illinois Statewide Death Index, 1916–1950 and the Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths, 1916-1947 databases say he died in Elmhurst. By the way, I did find the naturalization certificate for Evan Oleson by paging through the Richland, Wisconsin, Petitions for naturalization 1861-1892 on FamilySearch. Thanks again for finding files for me. |

The obit copies are legible. Unfortunately, they don't contain the information I was hoping for. Nevertheless, your help saved me a trip to Chicago. Thanks. Lawrence Jenewein |
