What are the steps for submitting my first research request?

When you're ready to hire a Genlighten provider, click the red "Submit Research Request" button found on the provider's profile.

This will take you to the research request screen that has the following fields:

Title
Project Description
Research Category (a drop-down menu)
Target Budget (optional)
Message.

Fill in the fields. (There's additional help text on the page to guide you through the process.)

When you're done filling out the form, click on the "Submit Project Request" button.

You'll be taken to the newly-created project tracking page where you will see the request you posted. If you click on the Message tab, you will see your message.

The next step is a quick admin review by Genlighten Support, primarily to make sure spammy requests don't make it through.

Once we give it the okay, the provider will be notified of your project and you can expect to receive a message or a proposal and quote within 24 hours.

If you don't, please contact support@genlighten.com. Sometimes notification emails go to spam folders and the quicker we hear that provider-client communication isn't working as expected, the quicker we can figure out what's up!
