*Naturalization Records from Cook County (Superior, Circuit, County and Criminal Courts)
$12.00/record
Description
I can search the microfilmed index for your ancestor and provide a digital copy of the actual naturalization papers available from the Cook County Courthouse, Chicago, Illinois.
If you found an entry in the on-line Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court database, http://www.cookcountyclerkofcourt.org/NR/about.aspx I will only be able to obtain the Declaration, which will not include any more information than what is in the database.
If you found an index card in the www.ancestry.com database, that may provide good genealogical information if your ancestor was naturalized after 1906, (some 1904-1906 naturalizations have good information also). If the index card states “court order only”, most likely there will only be one page for his naturalization and won’t include much significant information.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions first if needed. Thanks!
Ordering Instructions
Please include your ancestor’s full name and possible spelling variations, country of birth if known, date of birth (approximate is fine), date of immigration if known, address of ancestor if known and approximate date of naturalization.

Chicago Divorce or Lawsuit 1871-current
$50.00/record
Description
To retrieve a Cook County Divorce, Law or Chancery Case/Lawsuit Record requires a 2-step process. These records are not stored at the courthouse, only the index is. If a case is found in the index, the records will be transferred from an off site storage facility for viewing on another day. This process can take a few weeks. I charge a $10.00 fee for the index look up. The scanning charges are based on my hourly fee of $40.00/hour. I can typically scan around 30-35 pages in an hour, dependent upon how old the case is. The older the case, the longer it might take due to the fragility of the papers. A typical case takes around an hour to scan.
Ordering Instructions
Please include the names of the parties involved in the divorce or lawsuit and the approximate year(s) it took place. If you only know one parties’ name, include that and what you know about the case (ex: “John Smith sued his unknown employer around 1892” or “Jane Doe divorced her unknown husband before 1930”) Please include any other information that you think may be beneficial for me to locate the case in the index. Thank you.

*House History, Property Deed or Chain of Ownership
$45.00/record
Description
I will go to the Cook County Building and find the Tract Book page for a parcel of land/property that you are seeking. It will contain the history of this parcel of land which will include the names of all of the buyers and sellers of this property from 1871-1985 and the dates that it changed ownership. From this, I can get the appropriate document numbers and retrieve the Property Deed when your ancestor purchased the property.
Ordering Instructions
Please include the PIN# and/or legal description (if known). If you do not have the PIN# and/or legal description, please include the address of the property you are seeking information for and the year your ancestors lived there (approximate is fine). If you are unsure of the approximate year, it is important that I know if the address you have is pre-1909 or after 1909 as that is when the addresses in Chicago changed.
