Excellent. Clear communication. Demonstrated skill. Wonderful report. Everything I had hoped for and more. Within my budget as a retiree. Easy, organized system at GenLighten. Advanced my research by pushing knowledge beyond the wall I couldn't break and offered suggestions for the future that I am able to pursue. Thanks Naomi!
I had the distinct pleasure of working with Naomi as her colleague and supervisor at the Family History Library in SLC. Naomi was one of the top performers on our team. She was extremely hard-working, suggested innovative ideas for improvement of our service at the FHL, was well respected by the patrons, gave excellent help to patrons, and continually worked to improve her skills.
One example of her hard work is that she developed a training program for volunteers who work in the Scandinavian countries. The training consisted of 8 lessons each for Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. They were instructional, interactive, and increased participants' skill level tremendously. With only minor changes because of websites changes, we are still using these training lessons some years after she created them.
Naomi has such a thirst for knowledge that manifested itself not only in attaining her genealogical accreditation in Denmark, but also learning how to perform research in Germany and to read German language records. Learning German research was not required of her; she did it on her own initiative, which shows a tremendous amount of drive on her part. In that respect, she became much more valuable to the FHL because of her ability to help patons in more countries.
I found Naomi to be a wonderful colleague. Besides the items that I have mentioned, she was great to work with; she was friendly, fun, and did whatever she could to build the organization in order to provide the best service possible for the patrons.
I give Naomi Newbold my highest recommendation for employment and client work.
Sincerely,
Fritz Juengling Ph.D., AG (R)
